Cow Project
I could not believe what I was saw. The pastor rode an old bicycle over four hours to attend the Pastor’s Conference. Soon I discovered that all of the men had either walked or come by bicycle. This was the beginning of my friendship with many godly men who are faithfully serving the Lord in Zambia, Africa. Their driving compassion for the Lord and desire to teach their people was soon evident and overwhelming. Faced with unbelievable challenges and needs, these men continue to be instruments in God’s hand to share the good news of salvation and to disciple believers.
Faced with extreme poverty and economic stress, these pastors continue to press on, hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. However, they do not have the OPPORTUNITY and TOOLS needed to make life-changes. As Henry Ford said many years ago, “the only thing you can give a poor man without hurting him, is an opportunity.”
So OPPORTUNITY is the driving burden behind this plan to PARTNER WITH PASTORS and give them opportunities that have only been dreams.
Yes, this is an OPPORTUNITY for pastors to demonstrate diligence, responsibility, creativity, and personal accountability to their family and neighbors in obedience to Biblical principles and guidelines of stewardship and self-control.
This OPPORTUNITY is a DAIRY COW to supply needed milk and protein for the family. Other uses for the cow include light farm work and providing future cattle for family needs. Each pastor will become a living example of how God meets needs and blesses personal responsibility; therefore UNLOCKING THE CHAINS OF POVERTY, ONE PASTOR at a time. One thousand U.S. dollars provides a cow for a pastor.
