It Is Good To Remember
Psalms 78:5-8, Isaiah 45:2, 3, 5 46:9, 57:15, 58:8-11, Romansd 8:28-35, II Corinthians 4:16-18
Mankind has been given by God, our Creator, the great capacity to remember and review the multiple blessings, victories, and joys given by the Lord in days of the past. It is true that one does not want to live in the past but remembering the blessings of the past brings refreshment and joy. Our enemy, Satan, desires that a person focuses on the problems, challenges, hurts, and pains of life which can lead one to be frustrated, discouraged, depressed, and even to question God in their life. However, the remembrances of God (Psalm 77:11-14) and His works in one’s life bring joy and motivate the follower of Christ to share the high points and blessings in life with others. So, rather than sit, soak, and sour in life’s problems, the obedient follower of Christ focuses on His blessings (James 1:17) and the joy of sharing these with others.
Prayer: Thank You Lord for reminding me as I read Your word of the many blessings and answers to prayer that You have given to me.
Project: Make a list of the blessings of God and how you will share God’s work in your life with others now.
