Humbly Serving

Micah 6:8, Proverbs 3:34, Psalms 25:9, 149:4, Luke 14:11

It seems that many people are consumed with trying to prove how great they are by telling others what wonderful things they have done.  Even many believers seem to be focused on themselves and, at times, cause great problems and disunity in trying to prove how great they are to others.  The Bible is clear that the Lord requires that one “do justly love mercy and walk humbly with God”, (Micah 6:8). It is not that one is to constantly put themselves down but rather serve and build others by:

  • Good words

  • Serving others

  •  Helping those in need

  •  Giving of self to those whom God brings into our path or mind

Prayer: Lord, guide me today to be Your servant to invest, help, guide others, and not to be focused on self.
