Generosity

I John 3:17, Galatians 6:2, Hebrews 13:16, Luke 6:38, Proverbs 19:17, 22:9, James 1:17

There is a great thrill to the soul when one has a part in helping another. Of course, there are more needs than one can solve, but it is a blessing to help who and when we can. It is in the giving of:

  • Time

  • Good words

  • Money

  • A listening ear

  • Help…

…that one can be generous, caring, and giving. As our Lord helped people so can we as we reach out to assist and help. Investments in others, who are in need, brings great joy to all involved. What a great blessing when one obeys the Lord and reaches out to people in need. Selfishness and unconcern lead to sorrow, regret, and ignoring the ways of God and leave one going down the wrong path in life. So, stop now and “count your blessings” and, in joy, determine to whom and how you can be God’s hand of love as you reach out to them.

Prayer: Forgive me Lord for thinking only of myself and open my spiritual eyes to see people I should help.

Project: List those God brings to your attention now that should reach out and help today.
