The Only Way
II Corinthians 12:9, James 1:5, Psalms 46:1-2, Philippians 4:12-13, Matthew 11:28
It is only in the presence of God that a person finds rest and good food for the soul. People today try all kinds of medicines and techniques to bring quietness and rest to their clambering souls. However, the schemes of this world will never bring the rest and peace that the aching soul longs to have. Oh, yes, there may be a form of temporary relief, but soon the soul of the one who does not trust in the living, eternal God does not find the rest they are searching to find. The prescription of real rest to the noisy soul is:
To accept Christ as Savior and Lord
To obey the Bible
To commit burdens to God in prayer
To do God’s will in all matters
To be willing to wait on His time and way
The Bible does not teach that one’s problems will disappear, but God gives strength, courage, wisdom, peace, and quietness as one trusts and obeys His way and leading.
Prayer: Lord, I bring my noisy soul to You today believing that You alone will give me rest and answer my prayers.
