Be Still
Psalms 37:7, 46:10, 62:5, Zechariah 2:13, Exodus 14:14
One of the most difficult things to do in our culture today is to be still. Everything is moving so quickly and people are always busy so one does not take adequate time to be still in the presence of God. To be still and to invest time in His presence gives:
Strength - Isaiah 40:31
Victory - Isaiah 41:10
Wisdom - James 1:5
Vision - II Corinthians 4:18
Understanding - Proverbs 3:5-6
Peace - Philippians 4:7
Courage - Deuteronomy 31:6
A great many of one’s concerns would take on a new perspective if believers would wait in the presence of God and be still before the Lord. It is in these quiet moments that God does the supernatural work in His children that only He can do and transforms them into the image of Christ.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the blessings You give in the times that I wait before Your presence. Thank You for the changes You are making in my life.
