Don’t Go This Way

Proverbs 21:25, 19:2, Psalms 32:8, 37:7, Matthew 7:13, Isaiah 40:31

Today, many suggest and give a plan to take an easier route to where one wants to go. Hardly anyone suggests that the goal or result is in daily diligence and hard work. The Bible gives much instruction about diligence, hard work, planning, etc… and the “flesh” responds to taking “time off”, enjoyment, and alternate rounds (shortcuts) to accomplish one’s goals. Yet it is proven time again and again that the use of shortcuts generally takes more energy and many times the goal is not realized. Therefore, we should seek the Lord and His ways, and give our life to obedience and hard work (diligence) which God blesses and uses in supernatural ways. So, one needs to bring wisdom and be careful to obey the Word. This is the life that God blesses and uses to influence the world and to do His work.

Prayer: Lord, give me wisdom and open my eyes to see all You desire for me today.

Project: List areas that you need to do now to obey God’s Word and way.
