Blessed Assurance

Many times I have wished I could have been in the room and listened as Fanny Crosby gave words of encouragement through song.  While being in the room with her is impossible, rejoicing in what God gave her in the quiet of her life is a great blessing. Hymns such as Blessed Assurance bring joy and refreshing to the heart of all who follow the Lord. Are you burdened with troubles and challenges?  Well, everyone has a few but is the great joy of believers to focus their attention (heart, mind, life) on the Lord. This is often done by reflecting on the goodnesses of God as the words of hymns run through the mind and life.  Take a few moments, on a regular basis, to read through and be blessed by the words given by God to His servants of yesterday.

Prayer: Lord, I praise You for all You have done and are doing in my life today.  I am thankful for Your assurance and presence in my life now.
