Road Tour Recap - Fall 2021

Hear about all the ways God showed Himself faithful through the Encounter Team’s church meetings this Fall.

What a joy it was to see several men come forward one night in an invitation with tears streaming down their face as they responded to the conviction of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

My name is Mark Hopkins and I have the privilege of serving as the Team Director for the Encounter Singers’ road ministry.

My family and I joined Encounter in July of this year, and the past few months have been a whirlwind of activity as we are settling into all that God is doing in and through this ministry.

The new team arrived on Aug 15 and after 6 weeks of intense training and discipleship, we hit the road.

Our first stop was Rochester, NY.  During that week, we were able to minister at First Bible church and North Star Christian Academy.  It was incredible to see God work in the hearts and lives of people, especially the student body.  On Thursday of that week, over 100 students came forward publicly at the end of chapel to declare their desire to live for Christ and serve Him.

We then did 4 weeks of revival meetings in Upper Sandusky and Orrville, Ohio, Athens Michigan, and Logansport, Indiana.  We saw several people profess faith in Christ, churches refreshed, and young people impacted with the Gospel.  What a joy it was to see several men come forward one night in an invitation with tears streaming down their face as they responded to the conviction of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

We then headed south where we had the privilege of being a part of revival meetings in Front Royal and Luray, VA.  From outdoor community concerts in downtown areas, to school chapels, and special meetings in churches, we were blessed beyond measure to see many people hear the Gospel, 15 people profess faith in Christ, and after we left one church, they saw two more people trust in the Lord Jesus that Sunday!  At the end of one of the revival meetings, people went to their pastor and shared with him how they were going to start attending the prayer meetings at church and many more dealt with sin in their own lives and by God’s grace, are walking in victory.

If all goes as planned, we will have the privilege of being in 6 new churches this travel year and do spiritual renewal meetings in some that we have not been able to be at in a long time

All in all, we have been blessed this fall to see about 25 people make a profession of faith in Christ.  From youth rallies, school chapels, revival services, local Sunday meetings, and events here at Mt. Lou San Bible Camp, God has done above and beyond for His glory.

The team has grown and matured in what the Spirit filled life looks like and how to do effective Christ-centered ministry.  And we are looking forward with great anticipation for the new year as we are planning to head out on Jan 22nd for a 10 week revival tour of ministry in VA, NC, and WV, not including several local church meetings here in PA.  If all goes as planned, we will have the privilege of being in 6 new churches this travel year and do spiritual renewal meetings in some that we have not been able to be at in a long time.  The last week of March, we will be in an area where the pastor is partnering with 10 other churches for what is being called, “The Greenville County Revival.”  They are expecting a group so large that they are looking at renting out the local school auditorium.

With all of this said, none of this would be possible except for God’s good grace in and through you.  Thank you for your faithful prayers, encouragement, and support of God’s ministry here at Encounter.

If you know of any churches that would like to have us come in the Fall of 2022 or Spring of 2023, please do not hesitate to contact us or complete our scheduling form. And if you know of any seniors in high school or college aged students who would be interested in serving a year with our ministry, have them complete one of our team applications online.
