Stay On God’s Path
Proverbs 4:25-27, Romans 12:2, Psalm 119:105, I Chronicles 16:11
When one is using their GPS system they check or listen to it often to be sure that are on the right path or road. A wrong turn often causes a person to go down a road that may cause retreat and trouble. So it is with life. Each day the prudent (wise) believer reads and examines their life by the Bible so they will “wholly follow the Lord.” To ignore reading the Word and waiting before the Lord is to allow others to be first in one’s life and not the Lord. When this happens often believers:
Allow things to be in their life that distract from following the Lord.
Are trapped by wallowing lusts and desires of the flesh to govern their life.
Allow thoughts to enter the mind and heart that are contrary to the word.
Justify their thoughts and actions as they compare themselves with others.
And greater difficulties and distractions are often the case.
Prayer: Lord, remind me of the importance to be in Your Word daily and checking my life often as the Holy Spirit leads… And then make the necessary adjustments and changes needed.
