Keep Your Eyes On Jesus

Hebrews 12:2, Psalm 101:3, 119:37, Ephesians 1:18, II Corinthians 4:18

Often one’s attention is drawn to people, problems, and challenges and a person focuses on these events of life.  It is true that one must deal with the problems and challenges, but the follower of Christ must keep their focus on Him instead of events and people.  The following verses are reminders to keep one’s focus on the Lord. By reading and meditating on the words of our Lord, one’s focus is adjusted.

• Proverbs 3:5-6

• Psalm 1:1-3

• John 3:1-16

So, where the follower of the Lord is focused today is how they will talk, behave, respond and live.  It is easy to get focused on problems and challenges instead of all that the Lord can and will do.  So, check your focus today, and just as one would clean their glasses, clean out your soul to focus on the greatness and blessings of the Lord.

My declaration: I will read and meditate in and on the Bible today to adjust my focus on the Lord.
