What You Have

I Corinthians 4:1-2, Romans 14:12, Ephesians 5:15-16, I Corinthians 9:6, Colossians 3:17, James 1:17

What a believer is doing with what God has given to them is a very important matter to consider. Often one center and thinks only about what things they do not have and those things become their focus. However, we are taught in the Bible that a key to being a good steward in Christ is how and what one does in such areas as:

  • Use of time

  • Talents

  • Abilities

  • Opportunities

  • Money

  • Possessions

These are only a few of the things one may focus on in life. But it is vital to remember that these are all gifts from God and one day all believers will give an account to Him for their use or misuse of the many gifts. Therefore, wasting time, opportunities, funds, and the like is a serious matter. Since no one knows about tomorrow or the future it is vitally important that one gives careful stewardship today of each area as all will give an account to God.

Prayer: God, I give You thanks for all the gifts You have given me. Please guide me in the stewardship of each area.

Project: List all gifts of God that come to your attention now and how you will use them best today.
