Different

Colossians 3:1-10, James 1:27, II Corinthians 5:17, I Corinthians 6:19-20, Romans 12:2, I John 2:15, II Corinthians 10:5

We are taught in the Bible that the followers of Christ are supposed to be different from people that have not accepted Christ as Savior (and follow the ways of the world).  It is very confusing to the people around us to say one thing and to live out another. It is not that the followers of Christ are unusual but they have now the Biblical view of:

  • Money

  • Friends and associations

  • Pleasures

  • Habits

  • Philosophies

  • Time

  • Relationships

So, yes it does matter how one lives as a follower of Christ. They are not earning salvation but demonstrating the new life they have in Christ.

Prayer: Lord, show my areas in my life where I am not presenting a clear picture of Your work in my life to the people around me.
