Each Day Matters
Proverbs 27:12, Psalm 63:1-5, Psalms 92:1-4, Psalms 118:24, Lamentations 3:22-26
Often people just let the days go by not really caring about anything. They would say they are “just coasting” through life. However, one must remember that coasting only occurs going downhill. A life that strives to be caring and purposeful will require diligence, persistence, obedience to the Word, and positive concern.
Each day really does matter and does make a difference. In Proverbs, we are reminded often that checking our life regularly is of utmost importance. Life is challenging and our enemies (the world, flesh, and the devil) would like to stop the followers of Christ and get them off track. Therefore, it is important that the followers of Christ examine their life daily for meaning and spiritual productivity. As one wisely checks their life and obeys the leading of the Holy Spirit, God works in the life for meaning, spiritual growth, and impact.
Prayer: Lord, show me what needs to be adjusted and changed in my life to be obedient and effective this day.
