God Knows
Proverbs 24:28-29, Romans 12:19, I Peter 3:9, Mark 11:25, Ephesians 4:31-32
There are many games one could play that require keeping the score. However, in the matter of relationships, it is vitally important that we let God “keep the score”. Often people spend a great deal of energy trying to get even with others for what has been said or done. However, this burden gets heavier and more involved over time. The genuine follower of Christ is instructed in the Bible to:
Forgive (Matthew 18:21-35)
Forget (Ephesians 4:31-32)
Leave all burdens to the Lord (Psalms 55:22)
Not judge others (Matthew 7:1-5)
Trust God to care for all their needs (Proverbs 3:5-6)
It is good to take all one’s record-keeping and give them to the Lord. He alone knows all the details and is working in each life as He desires.
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for holding on to revenge. May Your grace flood my soul so I respond as Your ambassador to others in all situations.
