Words and Thoughts

Psalm 19:14, Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:22-24, Proverbs 3:5-6, Colossians 3:2, II Corinthians 5:17

Throughout the day one has many opportunities to think and speak a host of words. Although our life should be attractive to people, the believer is to be a pleasing voice to God’s desires and think thoughts that bring delight to our Lord. Yes, the Lord sees and hears all that we say and do, and the believer’s greatest desire should be to honor our Lord in every way. The Apostle Paul in II Corinthians 4:7 reminds us that we have the work and presence of the Lord in our lives and we should live to show how He is changing us each day. Yes, our words and actions ought to be pleasant to those around us but most of all, we should please our Lord. II Corinthians 10: 5 and Proverbs 25:11 remind us about our thoughts and words.

Prayer: Lord, work in my life today that all I think and say would honor Your and attract others to You by that which You are doing in my life.
