Stay in the Bible
Proverbs 2:1-22, Ephesians 6:10, II Timothy 3:16, James 1:22, Isaiah 40:31
Many resolutions and goals are made during the beginning days of a New Year as a fresh start is before everyone. However, unfortunately, it’s been proven that many of the goals are dropped with the first few days. I read that exercise equipment sales were up over 300% in the first days of a New Year after the feasting of the holidays. However, exercising on the new equipment was soon abandoned. One of the goals that the believer should set is to plan each day to be in the Bible and wait before the Lord. A Quiet Time each day that works should have the following:
Bible
Meditation - the conscious application of the mind to seriously consider the teachings of God.
Application of the Word to one’s life.
Prayer - going before the Lord with requests.
Listening to God for His warnings and instructions.
Commitment - to obey what the Lord is bringing to one’s attention.
My declaration: to be in the Bible daily to know His will and have His power in my life as His servant.
