Baggage of Sins

As one begins this new year it is important that all the baggage of sin is dealt with Biblically.  The baggage of sins does not get easier as time goes on; as the matter of fact, it gets more involved and heavier to carry.  All sins not dealt with Biblically reach not and impact more people and become more complicated.  The baggage of sin in such areas as:

  • Jealousy

  • Bitterness

  • Unresolved conflicts

  • Ungodly words spoken

  • Resentment

  • Private sins

These, and the like, should be handled according to the Bible as they will not just go away.  Obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit and the Bible is vital to living an abundant life in Christ.  As one plan for the new year, any areas of sin should be encountered and dealt with as He leads. 

Prayer: Lord, show me anything in my heart and life that is not pleasing to You and empower me to deal with that sin.

Project: List any and all the things that need to be dealt with Biblically for cleansing and victory.
