Tell Jesus Today

I Peter 5:7, Psalms 55:22, Philippians 4:6-7, Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 41:10, Matthew 11:28

Life's problems and challenges often drive one to despair and discouragement. This was certainly the case with Elisha Hoffman and the situation he encountered many years ago. He listened carefully as the lady spoke of her many sorrows and then concluded, “what shall I do?”. Hoffman gently replied, “you cannot do better than to take all of your sorrows to Jesus.” In a few moments her face lightened up and she replied, “yes, I must tell Jesus”. As Hoffman returned home he wrote the words to the great hymn, I must tell Jesus. Invest a few moments with brother Hoffman now as you read through this great hymn and then “tell it to Jesus”. Talk to Jesus who alone can lighten your burden and show the way as you trust in His wisdom and presence.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for listening to all my burdens and being the One who gives peace in the storms of life.
