Tell Them
Psalms 78, Judges 2:10, Deuteronomy 32:7, Psalms 145:4
Many a parent sits down in the evening to read fairy tale stories to their children before the child goes to bed. It is a great plan for parents to invest in their children in any way. However, we must remember to tell the younger generation what God has done for us and what He means to us. It is vitally important that parents and grandparents saturate the younger minds with the truths of scripture so they will remember God and follow Him. We are reminded often in the Bible that if the presence, power, and moving of God are not told often to the younger generation, they will forget about God and not honor Him and His Word. These young lives must be impacted by the presence of God and seek to follow Him while they are maturing, So, do you have grandchildren, and do they know how God worked in your life? Well, they want to know and your accounts will make a great difference in their response to God. It might be well now to list your grandchildren and how you could and would impact them with the truths of God in and through your life.
Prayer: Lord, lift my eyes above the things of this world so that I would share your presence and power with others—especially the younger generation.
