Two Great Words
I Thessalonians 5:18, James 1:17, Proverbs 12:25, Ephesians 1:16, Romans 1:8, I Thessalonians 1:2
Of all the words that one speaks in a day, the two words, “thank you” are very important. Many are encouraged, blessed, and lifted to new heights as they hear “thank you”. Unfortunately, many even believers do not say these important words as they assume they deserved the gift and they take others for granted. When one says “thank you” it brings joy, blessings, encouragement, and much more to their life. Therefore, it is vitally important that a genuine believer realizes and practices saying “thank you” to those who serve or give in some way. If one neglects or avoids saying “thank you” it is evidence of pride, arrogance, unkindness, and self-centeredness. It would be wise to pray and ask the Lord who needs a “thank you” in your world and then tell them. There is much in the Bible about words and there is great caution we should consider when we speak or refrain.
Prayer: Lord, open my eyes to see the real motives in my heart and guide me to be thankful to You and others.
