Invest In Others Today

I Thessalonians 5:11, Ephesians 4:29, Proverbs 12:25, I Thessalonians 4:18, Hebrews 3:13, 10:24-25

Each day we are confronted with many things that need to be done which often consume every moment of our time. Yet, in doing these things we have life, time, food, friends, clothes, and many other blessings of God (James 1:17) while great multitudes suffer in want and sorrow. Often there is not a great task one can do for another, but one can encourage and give the needy person a good word. It is wise to look beyond one’s blessings, joys, and challenges to encourage and give a good word to:

• The lonely person

• The sick

• The needy and poor

• The person who does not know the Lord

Great refreshing and joy come to the soul that reaches out to encourage others with good, godly words from one who cares. One may not be able to travel for a visit but they can give or send an encouraging, God-blessed word.

Prayer: Lord, open my mind to people in my world who need an encouraging word today.
