Laughter
Matthew 5:13-16, Romans 15:13, Ecclesiastes 2:26, Proverbs 10:28, Psalms 37:4, 144:15, Proverbs 17:22
Many people in the world today are isolated in their unhappiness, anxiety, fear, and depression. Unfortunately, there are many so-called Christians who seem to focus on the hard, bad, and challenging things of life. This then is reflected in their actions, words, and behavior in general. As believers, we have great hope in the Lord’s leading, protection, and promises each day. As God’s representatives in this challenging world, it is the believer’s opportunity to:
Demonstrate the joy of the Lord
Encourage others to see the Lord
Be a light in the dark
Be thankful to God and others
Many medicines are taken today but the scriptures remind us that the joy of the Lord is good like medicine. Take a good dose of the joy of the Lord now as you reflect on all He has done for you and all He has promised.
Prayer: Lord, save me from being so wrapped up in my troubles and challenges that Your joy is not demonstrated to my world. Guide me to reflect on Your goodness, power, and love and to share Your joy with others.
