Friends Have Friends

Proverbs 18:24, Luke 10:30-37, Proverbs 19:17

There is nothing quite like having a good friend; everyone would like to have a few good friends. However, we are reminded in the Bible that if one wants friends one must be friendly. As a sincere, obedient believer and follower of Christ one should:

  • Be kind

  • Be merciful

  • Be helpful to those in need

  • Speak good and encouraging words

  • Reach out to the needy and give what is needed

One’s actions speak great volumes or as it has been said, “your actions speak louder than your words.” In a world of fear and distrust, it is good for the follower of Christ to be friends and show people the love of Christ… by doing so, drawing others to a knowledge and belief in Christ. Being a true ambassador of the Lord is shown through being friendly for the glory of God.

Prayer: Show me Lord the things in my life that I need to change so I will be a better friend.
