Behavior Is Important

Colossians 3:12-17, I John 2:6, Philippians 1:27, Romans 12:21, I Peter 1:13-16, Psalms 119:165

Each day the believer has many opportunities to talk, respond, make decisions, and more. As followers of Christ, they are to behave in obedience to the Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is the responsibility of each believer to be careful and obedient in all they do to show the presence and power of God in their life. It is true that many are drawn to the work and ways of God as they see Him in the lives of family, friends, and co-workers. The believer has the great joy of:

• Prayer for guidance

• Wisdom from the Lord

• Speaking words that honor the Lord and help others

• Living to draw others to Christ

• Being a vessel to show God’s love to the needy

Therefore, it is with great prayer and caution that the believer behaves to honor the Lord each day.

Prayer: Lord, show me how to conduct my life today in all situations to honor You and be a light in this dark world.
