What Do You Hear

Daily each person hears many voices and words. Some of the things one hears are encouraging, some are frightening, some show the way, and a great variety. It is true that one will probably not hear the audible voice of God today but He will give wisdom, direction, peace, and much more as He speaks through:

  • The Bible

  • People

  • Situations and circumstances

  • Hurt and pain

  • Joy and victory

  • Quiet moments with Him

It is vitally important that the followers of Christ invest time on a regular basis to hear the “voice” of God and receive directions for their life. Many times God brings people to one’s mind and situations that need to be addressed when one “waits” in His presence. So in all one hears today, we must be careful not to miss the direction and wisdom of the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, give me the wisdom to remove the sounds of this world, so I can hear You plainly and know Your will in all things.
