Faithful

I Corinthians 4:2, Luke 16:10, Galatians 5:22, Revelation 2:10

According to the dictionary, faithful is “remaining loyal, steadfast, and firm.” It is true that God is faithful to care for His own as He provides direction, protection, wisdom, and much more in His time and in the way He knows best. The Psalmist reminds us that God is faithful and “delivers from all fears” (Psalm 34:4). The faithfulness of God is a great blessing to the believer. However, the followers of Christ must be faithful as well:

  • To the Bible, God’s Word

  • To the commitments they have made to the Lord

  • To God’s leading each day to invest in others

  • With all God has given in talents, abilities, opportunities, funds, etc.

Yes, we are to be thankful for God’s faithfulness, and the believer is to be faithful to his Lord. It is good for one to check often about their faithfulness as they consider how they invest each day of life.

Prayer: Thank You God for Your faithfulness to me in all ways. Help and guide me to be faithful and a good steward of all the gifts You have given me.
