The Real Motive
Ephesians 6:7, Colossians 3:23-24, I Corinthians 10:31, Esther 4:14
It is vital to remember that all we do as a believer is to be done as if we are doing it for God. Often we get our perspectives and goals centered on self or others and forget we are to be living to further the work of our Lord in one way or another.
So, a life dedicated to God and His plan is a life “for such a time as this”. Since God makes no mistakes and all things work together for good for those who love and honor God (Romans 8:28) whatever we do should be as unto Him.
Guidelines for this kind of a day and life would include:
Commitment and surrender daily to God
Making the most and best use of time
Doing all to honor God
Furthering His desire to rescue people
Being a useable vessel in His hand at all times
Living and responding in accord with the Word
Being a godly example
“Whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto men.” Col.3:23
