God’s Representative

II Corinthians 5:20, Ephesians 4:1, Colossians 3:17, I Peter 3:8-10, I Corinthians 11:1, II Corinthians 5:17, Matthew 5:13-16

It is the believer’s great joy to be God’s ambassador to a lost and hopeless world. Each encounter the believers have with others gives them the opportunity to live out the truths of the Word of God such as:

  • Forgiveness

  • Pleasant words

  • Kind actions

  • Helpful to people in need

  • Over-looking faults and failures of others

And many other ways a believer is to represent the Lord and His work in their life to a struggling world. Unfortunately, believers often respond talk, and behave like an unbeliever so they are not good representatives of the Lord’s work in their life. Believers must remember that the world is watching and listening to see how they respond to the ways of others and the problems they have in life. Complaining, grumbling, and speaking words of discontentment are not honoring to the Lord and do not attract others to the saving and changing power of the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, by Your Holy Spirit, guide me to be a good representative of the work You are doing in my life.
