Quality Of Life

Proverbs 4:10, 15:27, 21:1, Deuteronomy 30:19, II Corinthians 4:16, Matthew 5:13-16

Many people live a miserable life as if they think about all the “bad” things and negatively act like they are not living. It is true that if a person commits certain sins they are opening the door to end their physical life. However, many times in the Bible when one reads of death and life, it is referring to the quality of life. For as one accepts and obeys the Lord they have a different quality of life. In other words, one can enjoy and have a different quality of life in Him as one obeys the Lord and follow the Bible. In Christ there is “abundant life” (John 10:10). Therefore, those who have attached themselves to the life of Christ are living a “new life” in Him. A good question to consider is, are people attracted to the life of Christ as seen in their daily life or are they repulsed as they see a person that seems to be experiencing death before they are physically gone? How are you living today?

Prayer: Lord, I do trust You. Forgive me for focusing on the pains of life rather than the blessings You are giving me and the lessons that You are teaching me. Fill me now with Your presence that I would live with the quality of life only You can provide to be a light in my world.

Project: List the ways you live today that show others the abundant life you have in Christ.
