Encouraging

Proverbs 25:11, Hebrews 10:24-25, John 16:33, Romans 8:31, 15:5, I Thesselonians 5:11

In the world today we hear much about what is wrong. The problems and troubles that may come become seeds of fear and frustration. Rarely does one hear of the goodness of God and the fact that one can have the “hope” that brings peace in the Lord (Philippians 4:7). It brings great joy to the heart when good words encourage others and this is a great blessing as God leads. Think now about people you know that need:

• Encouragement

• Thanks

• Reminders of the promises and presence of God

• Reflections on the blessings of God

Invest time now and pray for the people that God brings to your mind. Then call, text, or write a letter to share with others how they have blessed your life and remind them of the hope that is in Christ. Investing in others as God leads will do more than one can imagine.

Prayer: Lord, open my spiritual eyes to see and know people I should encourage today.

Project: List the people that God brings to your attention and reach out to them as God leads you to do.
