Seeing Others
Matthew 6:1-5, 7:1-5, Acts 4:14, I John 4:20
It is often one’s problem that they become so focused on themselves that they do not see the needs of others. Each day they walk through life not seeing the needs of others but solely focused on what they want. This kind of activity is usually fueled by:
Resentment
Anger
Bitterness
Jealousy and other sins which create discontentment, anxiety, worry, depression, and more.
This matter of self-focus opens the door of life to dismissing the needs of others and ignoring them which leads to unconcern and lashing out in words and actions toward others. In the Bible, the believer is instructed to read and study the word, meditate, and obey what God brings to their attention, including reaching out to others. A careful examination of one’s heart, and the confession of sins in obedience to the Lord, unleashes the power of God in and through one’s life.
Prayer: God, open my spiritual eyes to see the sins of my life and cleanse me from all uncleanness.
Project: List areas God brings to your attention and you must obey Him.
