The Better Way

Proverbs 16:30, I Corinthians 9:24-27, Ephesians 6:26-31, James 1:19-20

There are times and situations that lead a person to a quick display of anger in words spoken or actions done. However, this usually leads to more trouble and problems as others are:

  • Hurt

  • Irritated

  • Embarrassed

  • Confronted

  • Exposed

This may seem like it is the thing to do but obeying what the Lord instructs in the Bible is best for:

  • God is working in all situations

  • God has a time and a place

  • God will judge all people someday

  • God knows all things

  • God blesses and leads His children

The better way is God’s way. Humanly a person may want to lash out or respond in anger at the moment. However, it is better to trust God and wait on Him (Isaiah 40:31).

Prayer: Lord, give me grace and courage to do Your will in all my encounters.

Project: Think about and list situations in which you need to obey the Lord.
