Sometimes believers become so self-centered that they forget and ignore being a blessing by way of reaching out to others.  One of the things our Lord did was to take time to help others as He went about His daily responsibilities. This act is a demonstration of the presence, power, and leading of our Lord when His children care for others and invest to be a blessing.  Others are lifted and encouraged by:

• Words of thanks

• Words of encouragement and blessing

• A gift

• A visit

• A phone call

• A text message

• Sharing the Good News of salvation

• Verses that are a blessing

The great joy of a believer is to reach out and have a part in someone’s life.  Remember, “yesterday is gone forever and tomorrow may not come, so today is only day one has to be a blessing.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from self-centeredness and open the eyes of my soul to see those in need of a blessing.
