Proverbs 3:27, 19:17, 22:9, 28:20, James 1:17, Colossians 3:23

One of the tragedies of this day is that many people, even believers, are only interested in things that they want or think are needed. This leads to focusing on the self and forgetting others.  However, we are often reminded in the Bible to:

• Help the poor

• Speak encouraging words to the needy

• Share the truths of God’s love with others

• Listen and encourage the lonely

As representatives of the Lord, it is the joy of believers to be His hand of love and help to people in need. As His instrument of praise and honor, it is a great blessing to reach out to others and share with them. Surely we cannot meet the needs of everyone but we can be a blessing and help to some as the Lord leads and opens the way to help.  One must be careful that they are not so involved in the things that are close to them that they forget to be God’s hand of love to those who are in need.

Prayer: Lord, open my spiritual eyes to see those around me that need to hear from You today through me.
