Refuge

Psalms 9:9, 46:1-2, Proverbs 30:5 II Samual 22:31, Deuteronomy 33:27

In the time when it appears that the world seems out of control, the believer in Christ is reminded that God is our refuge. It is in Him that we:

• Trust

• Wait in His presence and pray

• Rely upon His wisdom, protection, and guidance

• Believe He knows what is best

• Anchor the life in His word

• Seek His guidance

And the believer knows God is one’s refuge.  It is as we come to the Bible and read of His power, knowledge, and ways that hearts are encouraged and strengthened.  With all that is going on in the world today the believer in Christ can rejoice in the fact that God is the shelter in which he can trust.  As the song writer stated, “ the Lord is our rock in Him we hide, a shelter in the time of storm”.

Prayer: Lord, I praise You today for being my shelter in the time of storm and my secure refuge.
