Pray

John 14:12-14, Matthew 6:5-15, I John 5:14, Ephesians 1:18, James 5:13

Many times one gets the idea that there is nothing left to do about a situation or person. Having tried everything that seems possible and no solution, they finally turn to prayer.  Asking and trusting God for wisdom, strength, courage, vision, understanding, and much more.  It is the believer in Christ, following and obeying God’s commands in the Word, that sees and knows to call upon the Lord.  We are reminded in the Word to pray and trust God for:

  • Wisdom

  • Family

  • Friends

  • Missionaries

  • Pastors

As one prays for God’s will to be done in the way and time that He knows best, refreshment comes to the soul, and confidence is restored.  It is vitally important that time is invested to pray and wait before the Lord.  The songwriter reminded believers to “bow the knee” before the creator and sustainer of the world.  It is in the quiet hour of prayer that God restores the soul and gives the courage to continue.

Prayer: Lord, open my spiritual eyes to know and do Your will and follow Your commands today.
