Lift Up Your Eyes

Ephesians 6:10-12, Deuteronomy 31:8, Philippians 4:8, II Corinthians 10:5, Psalms 23:1-6

The enemy of the believer that seeks to destroy, render helpless, and even kill is despair, frustration, and loneliness.  So many people, even believers, are in the valley of despair and are engaged in continued self-pity which creates more problems as they sink further into the hole of depression.  Instead of being a bright flower to others in their world, they are dried up and withering like the waterless flower that does not show the happiness of life and blessing.  It is the “orchid” Christian that demonstrates by their radiance the joy of the Lord and the power of His presence.  As one moves through life today the believer has the opportunity to show the radiance and sunshine that Christ has brought to their soul as the orchid compared to the withering flower.

Prayer: Lord, help me be Your orchid today showing Your power, love, forgiveness, and presence to others.
