Take It To Him
Psalms 37:5, 55:22, Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 6:34, 11:28-30
Often one longs for someone to talk with and share their burdens of life. As wonderful as it is to have a close friend with whom they can share our burdens, these needs are met and the soul is greatly refreshed when we take “our burdens to the Lord”. Yes, Charles Tindley wrote “Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there” and he did write out of a life of great needs and challenge and his words are true. However, it is a great joy that we can take our burdens, troubles, trials, challenges, joys, and victories to the Lord. It is the Lord alone that can and does minister to our spirit in a very special way that only He can do. Yes, take it to the Lord in prayer. Invest time in prayer as you talk with and listen to the One that moves mountains, stops waters, changes thoughts and people, and much more. As much as a real friend is encouraging, investing time in the presence of God is powerful and life-changing. Yes, avoid the hurry and busyness of life and invest time with the Lord of Lords who can and will meet your needs and give direction, wisdom, and protection.
Prayer: Oh Jesus, thank You for listening to my burdens today.
Project: Write down the things that you need to talk to the Lord about and then talk to Him.
