One Day

Matthew 6:34, Psalms 52:8, 118:24, Proverbs 3:5-6, Ephesians 6:10-18, Philippians 4:6-7

One of the great traps of the enemy is for the believer to be living in the past or the future and thus they are missing out on the blessings, growth, and challenges of this day. Living in the past or the future often results in:

  • Living in fear

  • Living in regret

  • Worry

  • Depression

  • Living out of focus (which has a great influence on all that one says and does)

When the enemy, Satan, gets the believer’s focus off God then all the person can see is the present, past, and potential problems. It is the tactic of the enemy to get one thinking negatively and in problems that are prone to overcome the thoughts of God.  It is vital that the believer trusts in God and faithfully follows His Word each day knowing that God is at work and will do what is best in His timing.

Prayer: God, thank You for all You are doing in my life now. Guide me to focus on today and being faithful to You.

Project: List the areas I must focus on today and pray for God’s leading and guidance.
