Promises Bring Joy

Isaiah 41:10, Deuteronomy 31:8, Psalms 32:8, Matthew 11:28-29, John 16:33

We often hear people make promises that are broken and or not kept. A person may promise to do or say something only to forget or just decide not to fulfill what they promised. Although this may be true with people, a promise made by God is never broken or forgotten. One can always count on the promises of God. It has been suggested that there are over 7,000 promises in the Bible, and although they all cannot be listed now, here are a few that bring rejoicing to the heart:

  • God promises never to leave His own. Hebrews 13:5

  • God promises to supply all our needs. Philippians 4:19

  • God promises to give grace (strength) II Corinthians 12:9

  • God promises He has a plan for each life. Romans 8:28

  • God promises to be with His own in the valley. Psalms 23:1-6

  • God promises He will give wisdom to His children. James 1:5

Yes, we can always trust the promises of God and this brings rejoicing and joy to the heart of His children.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for all Your promises.

Project: List the promises that bring joy and refreshing to your life now.
