God Is Watching

Psalms 32:8, 84:3, Job 12:7-10, Matthew 6:26, 10:29-31, Luke 12:4-7

Did you ever feel like you were all alone and no one really cared? This must have been how Mr. and Mrs. Dolittle of Elmira, New York could have felt as Mr. Dolittle could only get around by using his wheelchair and Mrs. Dolittle had been confined to her bed for many years. However, this sweet Christian couple shared God’s love and care with many. One day, being visited by friends, it was mentioned about their lives and how they had encouraged others many times. It was to this comment that Mrs. Dolittle responded, “His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me”, and from this expression of confidence, trust, and faith in the Lord that multitudes have been refreshed by the words of this great hymn, His Eye is on the Sparrow. Yes, God is watching and is concerned about your needs, problems, challenges, heartaches, and every aspect of your life. It does bring great encouragement to the soul when one is reminded and settles their confidence and trust in the Lord. Yes, “His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me”.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for watching over me today and may my life be a refreshing joy to others.

Project: List those today to whom God would have you communicate His love and care as their soul is refreshed.
