Resolved
Matthew 5:21-26, Ephesians 4:24-32, Proverbs 28:13
A small stone in the shoe not cared for will cause greater problems as time goes on. Many people have an unresolved conflict in their life that they ignore or hope will go away However, like the stone in a shoe, the problem gets bigger and causes more trouble. We are instructed in the Bible to:
Forgive
Forget
Not speak unkindly of another
Not to hold bitterness
Not think of getting even
Not pretend like everything is okay
In obedience to the Lord, the believer is to acknowledge their sin, confess the sin to God, seek forgiveness from others, and apply the Word to their life. Hiding and covering unforgiveness, bitterness and anger causes greater problems and is not being a light in this world of the power of Christ in one’s life.
Prayer: Lord, give me the strength, courage, and wisdom to deal with hurtful encounters so that I am a light in my world of the power and presence of God.
