Stop

Psalms 77:11-12, 103:1-2, Ephesians 5:20, James 1:17, Lamentations 3:22, Philippians 4:6-7, John 3:16

People have become so busy today with things to do and places to go that remembering and reflecting on the goodnesses and blessings of life are many times neglected.  Many are so focused on their problems, challenges, hurts, struggles, and difficulties that time to refresh the soul and encourage the mind is left undone. Then, as a result, the burdens get heavier and life seems to become more difficult.  Each day new thoughts of hardship and trouble are piled on the endless pile of troubles that lead to frustration, worry, regret, bondage, fear, and more.  So, in the busyness and challenges of life, it is extremely helpful to “count your blessings”.  Dr. David Jeremiah writes, “there is an awesome power unleashed by a simple action when you “count your blessings, name them one by one.”

Prayer: God, thank You for Your goodnesses and blessings which surround my life today.
