Wise Investments

James 1:27, 2:5-6, Hosea 14:3, Isaiah 1:17, Psalms 82:3, Matthew 5:13-16

It is a great joy to be God’s hand of blessing and care as the believer reaches out to help those in need. It seems that there are many in need today and a follower of Christ has the opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to others. Jesus took time to help people in need and so should His followers today. As instruments in the hand of God, we should be alert and obedient to share:

• Food

• Funds

• A helping hand

• Clothing

• Lodging

• The Good News

It is important that each believer is alert and ready to be God’s tool in reaching and investing in others. As the believer obeys the Lord in helping people, their acts of kindness and concern often draw people to the Lord and the sharing of the Good News of salvation.

Prayer: Lord, guide me today to see the needs of others and direct me to be obedient.

Project: Think of the people I should reach out to now in obedience to God’s leading.
