Be Ready
Mark 9:35, 10:43-45, Matthew 23:11, Romans 12:1, Matthew 6:21, Colossians 3:23
It is the great joy of believers to be the hand of God in ministering and serving others in the common and daily events of life. However, if one is not sensitive and obedient, they are concerned about themselves and miss out on the blessings of serving others. One of the lessons of the Lord was that He served others and He desires His children to do the same. As one travels the journey of life today it is important to:
Be sensitive and obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit
Be alert to serve the lonely
Be ready to give funds, time, or whatever needed
It is not what others can do for us but what we can do for others in the name of the Lord that matters. Sometimes one is so consumed with other things and people that they miss the joy of serving as God directs.
Prayer: Lord, open the eyes of my soul to see those in need and give wisdom and direction on how I can serve others as You desire.
