Safety

Proverbs 3:5-6, 18:10, Psalm 18:30, 34:8, 91:2, John 16:33, Romans 8:18

When a storm comes one looks for a safe place to hide “until the storm passes by”, as the songwriter penned. However, there are many storms of life that one cannot avoid so one must go through them. We can be comforted that our Lord will protect and guide us during these times of challenge. The follower of Christ can and should take safety in the Bible and the mighty hand of God in His power and protection. In Matthew 11:28-30 our Lord reminds us that when the load is heavy, and in the storms of life, we can and are to come to Him, trust in His word, and obey Him. Yes, storms will come but there is a safe place to bring our burdens and take refuge as we come and rest in our Lord.

Prayer. Thank You, Lord for strength, protection, and wisdom in the times of storm.

Project: List the storms of life that are going on now, commit them to the Lord, and run to Him for safety and strength.
