Stay in the Bible

II Timothy 3:16-17, Psalms 119:105, Hebrews 4:12, I Timothy 3:15

There are many events and people that demand one’s daily time and schedule so we must be careful. If one gives in to all of the pressures they could replace or ignore the reading of the Bible and meditating on what God has said and are likely to get off the spiritual track. For it is by reading, meditating, and applying the Bible that the believer gets:

  • Light for life - Psalms 119:195

  • Wisdom in the many challenges of life - James 1:5

  • Direction in choices - Hebrews 4:12

  • Protection from evil ways - Proverbs 2:1-23

  • Strength - Isaiah 40:31

  • Thoughts and ways established - Proverbs 3:6

  • Cautions about staying on the right path - Psalms 16:11

And much more is given as one studies, meditates, memorizes, and applies the Bible to their life. Many have been led to believe that the ways, knowledge, and instruction of God are automatic. However, they soon discover that growing spiritually takes time, effort, discipline, and obedience.

Prayer: God help me each day see the value of hearing from You and reading the Bible.

Project: Write out your plan to stay in the Bible.
