Be Careful with the Choices
Joshua 24:15, Proverbs 3:5-6, Matthew 7:13-14, Ecclesiastes 12;13-14, Galatians 6:7-8
Each day a person has many choices to make as to what they eat, places they go, ways to do things, people they spend time with, how they do their job, and many more. However, while making each choice, it’s good to remember what a wise person said many years ago, “every choice has a consequence.” One can choose to go the wrong way down a one-way street but they will get the results of their choice. Bible personalities should remind us of this principle as we think of:
Adam and Eve who choose to go their own way instead of obeying God.
People in Noah’s day who chose not to believe in God.
Children of Israel who chose not to trust God for their deliverance and provision.
The thief on the cross who chose not to have faith in Christ.
So, today there will be many choices. One must remember the promises and warnings of Scripture as one makes choices and decisions.
Prayer: I need Your wisdom God and remembrance of Your word today as I choose and make decisions.
