Wisdom for Choices Today

Proverbs 1:7, 2:6, 3:5-6, 4:7, Ecclesiastes 2:26, James 1:5, 3:17

Each day one has many opportunities to make a multitude of choices and decisions. In many cases, choices and decisions affect one every day of the rest of their life. Therefore, it is vitally important that one:

  • Prays about the choice or decision

  • Is sure the Bible is obeyed

  • Honors the Lord in everything

  • Leads others in God’s ways

  • Relies on the Holy Spirit each day

Also, one’s choices and decisions have a significant effect on others. So, one must be careful and prayerful to obey the Word. In the Bible, we have many lessons from Biblical personalities such as:

  • Adam, who chose not to obey God

  • Noah, who chose to obey God when others laughed

  • Elisha, who chose to against what the crowd was saying

  • Jesus, as he chose to honor His Father, give Himself, and conquer death for everyone

Prayer: Lord, bring to remember all the commitments I have made and the choices that guide me each day to serve You and draw others to Your name.
