Wisdom for Choices Today
Proverbs 1:7, 2:6, 3:5-6, 4:7, Ecclesiastes 2:26, James 1:5, 3:17
Each day one has many opportunities to make a multitude of choices and decisions. In many cases, choices and decisions affect one every day of the rest of their life. Therefore, it is vitally important that one:
Prays about the choice or decision
Is sure the Bible is obeyed
Honors the Lord in everything
Leads others in God’s ways
Relies on the Holy Spirit each day
Also, one’s choices and decisions have a significant effect on others. So, one must be careful and prayerful to obey the Word. In the Bible, we have many lessons from Biblical personalities such as:
Adam, who chose not to obey God
Noah, who chose to obey God when others laughed
Elisha, who chose to against what the crowd was saying
Jesus, as he chose to honor His Father, give Himself, and conquer death for everyone
Prayer: Lord, bring to remember all the commitments I have made and the choices that guide me each day to serve You and draw others to Your name.
